Dr. Cassy Bailey promoted to vice president of enrollment management

Baker University has promoted longtime student life leader Dr. Cassy Bailey to a new role as vice president of enrollment management. She will oversee enrollment for all four Baker University schools. Bailey previously served as vice president for student affairs and enrollment management and held the title of dean of students since 2007.

“Dr. Bailey’s dynamic leadership style, driven and dedicated work ethic, and spirit for Baker University are among many factors that have driven great success in our student life department,” said Baker University President Hoot Gibson. “We are incredibly lucky to have her at Baker University and thank her for her incredible service in student affairs. I look forward to seeing the positive results that will come from Dr. Bailey’s dedicated focus leading our admissions team and enrollment operations.”

As vice president of enrollment management, Bailey oversees all aspects of enrollment and admissions for Baker University’s College of Arts and Sciences, School of Nursing, School of Education, and School of Professional and Graduate Studies.

“I’ve been honored to serve the students of Baker University for nearly two decades, and I’m excited to take on this new role with a continued focus on helping students find their place at Baker,” Bailey said. “Enrollment is where the Baker journey begins, and I’m passionate about making sure that journey starts with connection, support, and a clear path to success.”

Bailey joined Baker University as dean of students in 2007, creating a lengthy tenure in student life and student affairs for two decades. This spring, Dr. Jonathan Long was named dean of students, succeeding Bailey’s role and assuming leadership of student life and engagement.
