Support Baker University Students

A Message from Meg Qualls

Unrestricted gifts to the Winter Campaign Fund for Student Experiences enable the University to meet its most immediate needs and fund its greatest strengths and new opportunities.

Dear Baker family,

As the holiday season approaches, I find myself reflecting on how grateful I am for this incredible community and for the bright future ahead. My name is Meg Qualls, I’m a third-generation Baker student, proud member of the Class of 2026, and I have the honor of serving as student body president and editor-in-chief of The Baker Orange.

Since Dr. Jody Fournier joined us as Baker’s 31st president in July, his leadership has already made a powerful difference. What stands out most is his genuine, authentic connection with students—he listens, he shows up, and he brings warmth and humor to everything he does. His leadership has brought a renewed sense of optimism, and we can feel that energy in every part of campus.

This is a moment of incredible momentum for Baker. Enrollment is rising, new academic programs are taking shape, and our traditions remain strong, but these achievements are only possible because of generous support from alumni and families like you. As you consider your year-end giving, I ask that you remember Baker. Your gifts enable the university to address its most pressing needs and support the dreams of students like me. Every gift, no matter the size, helps sustain the legacy that generations of Baker Wildcats have built together. On behalf of every student who calls this place home, thank you for your faith in Baker’s mission. Your support turns possibility into purpose, and we count you among our greatest blessings this holiday season.

With love and Baker pride,

Meg Qualls

Class of 2026 Student Body President

Editor-in-Chief, The Baker Orange

Scholarships

More than 95 percent of our students receive funding to help pay for their education, and for some, this can make the difference between a dream and a reality.

Academics Programs

Baker University is known for its outstanding academics and an education rooted in the liberal arts, a tradition that builds on historical strengths while advancing emerging ideas and fields of study. From this foundation, Baker graduates develop the skills to think analytically and adapt and thrive in an uncertain future.

Student Experiences

Students form the core of our mission and are the reason we exist. They will become the next generation of leaders, hard-hitting journalists, scientists at the forefront of life-changing research, and entrepreneurs that alter the landscape of the business world.

Athletics

A constant in our history has been athletics and the opportunities it provides students to develop skills in leadership, teamwork, perseverance, and fair play—skills they will take from Baker and into their communities.

President’s Vision Fund

Because of their flexibility, unrestricted gifts to the President’s Vision Fund for Student Experiences enable the university to meet its most immediate needs and fund its greatest strengths and new opportunities.

Endowment

Baker’s endowment provides permanent funding for our top priorities: making a college education affordable and recruiting and retaining highly qualified faculty and staff across the university. Donors to the endowment trust that their gift will be managed wisely and grow in value. Gifts to the endowment allow donors to give back in a way that will sustain the university for generations to come.
