Academics

Baker University is known for its outstanding academics and an education rooted in the liberal arts, a tradition that builds on historical strengths while advancing emerging ideas and fields of study. From this foundation, Baker graduates develop the skills to think analytically and adapt and thrive in an uncertain future.

Our ability to maintain excellence in our current areas of study and introduce programs that will meet the needs of emerging fields relies on ample funding. We have recently introduced minors in data analytics, primary texts, and nutrition. We have developed programs in instructional design and performance technology, focused MBAs, an online bachelor’s program in psychology, and an online Associate Degree in Nursing to Master of Science in Nursing bridge program. Recent gifts have funded research opportunities for students, new lab equipment, and new musical instruments.

We will continue to anticipate student and workforce needs and develop the programs and infrastructure to meet them.
